The Faculty of Ocean Sciences aims to
produce qualified experts in the fields of fishery and marine science
through systematic education in the utilization and preservation of marine
resources, prevention of pollution and research on technical development.
The College of Ocean Sciences is also striving for the improvement of
education in theory and practice through experiments in ocean navigation,
observation and investigation of marine resources by using two training
and research ships, including the "Halla" & "Ara" of 990 tons.
Frequent joint research and academic information exchange programs with
universities in Japan are actively under way.
