The Department of Geography invites applications for a full-time, tenure-track faculty at the rank of Assistant Professor commencing Fall 2003.    The department seeks to hire a Cultural Geographer/Cultural Ecologist/Latin Americanist.  We seek a person who can interface between cultural and physical geography (Human/Environment Tradition).  The department has strengths in Middle America and the Caribbean and is looking to develop future strengths within coastal geography (physical and cultural) and tropical geosciences.  The candidate must have foreign field experience within Latin America and willing to lead field study programs to the region.
