TRANSFORMACIONES TERRITORIALES EN CARLOS KEEN,

PARTIDO DE LUJAN A PARTIR DEL TURISMO LOCAL

Resumen

 

El presente trabajo[1] forma parte del proyecto de investigación denominado “Dinámica Territorial en Buenos Aires: cambios en el patrón de urbanización, usos del suelo e impactos socio-económicos y ambientales asociados” radicado en el Departamento de Ciencias Sociales de la Universidad Nacional de Luján[2].

 

A partir de la fundación de Luján, en el siglo XVII y su posterior posicionamiento como destino turístico religioso para los creyentes en la fe católica, el partido  homónimo se convierte en el escenario propicio para las prácticas recreativas y de esparcimiento.

En el área central y al vera del rio Lujan, comienza un proceso de turistificacion que actúa como soporte de la nueva actividad, imponiendo una acción transformadora del territorio  a  partir de la valorización de las residencias antiguas. En el siglo XXI surgen nuevos destinos que intentan reproducir el modelo turístico rural en el pueblo de Carlos Keen.

 

El fortalecimiento de un  nuevo mercado de turismo  rural, es consecuencia de la extensión de la autopista del Oeste y la reparación del camino que une el pueblo de Carlos Keen con la ciudad de Lujan, acortando el tiempo de traslado de la ciudad de Buenos Aires a la zona estudiada en un tiempo aproximado de una hora.

 

En esta investigación, se reflexiona sobre las transformaciones del espacio rural, las obras restauradas y a reciclarse, los cambios y las tendencias socioespaciales, considerando la relación turismo-medio ambiente.

 

Para ello, se realiza un estudio exploratorio y descriptivo, a través de la recolección de información que surge de entrevistas a informantes calificados, encuestas, visitas de observación y consulta a variadas fuentes bibliográficas, gráficas y documentales. El análisis adopta un método geo-histórico y se plantea bajo una doble dimensión espacio-temporal, aplicando un enfoque cuali-cuantitativo a un estudio de caso. Se pretende elaborar un documento que sirva de base para generar estudios que profundicen el tema y se convierta en una herramienta útil para la gestión de los destinos turísticos rurales.

Abstract

 

This work is part of the research project entitled "Territorial Dynamics in Buenos Aires: changes in the pattern of urbanization, land use and socio-economic and environmental partners" filed with the Department of Social Sciences, National University of Luján.

 

From the founding of Luján in the seventeenth century and its subsequent positioning as a destination for religious believers in the Catholic faith, the namesake party becomes the stage for the recreational and leisure practices.

In the central area and the banks of the River Lujan, touristification begins a process that acts as a support of the new activity, imposing a transforming action of the territory from the valuation of older homes. In the XXI century there are new destinations that attempt to reproduce the model rural tourism in the town Charles Keen.

 

The strengthening of a new rural tourism market is the result of the extension of the Western motorway and repair of road connecting the town of Carlos Keen with the city of Lujan, shortening the travel time from the city of Buenos Aires the area studied in approximately one hour.

 

In this research, we examine the transformation of rural areas, restored and recycled works, changes and trends, considering the relationship between tourism and environment.

 

This is performed an exploratory and descriptive, through the collection of information that emerges from interviews with informants, surveys, field visits and consultation to various literature sources, graphics and documentary. The analysis adopts a geo-historical and arises under a double space-time dimension, using qualitative and quantitative approach to a case study. It is intended to produce a document as a basis to generate studies to check the issue and become a useful tool for the management of rural destinations.
