Territórios, fronteiras e identidades entre os Guarani, Kaiowa e Terena

Resumo

 

 

As oito reservas indígenas criadas para os Guarani e Kaiowa pelo Serviço de Proteção ao Índio (SPI) na região do Cone Sul, no antigo estado de Mato Grosso, hoje, Mato Grosso do Sul, implicou na imposição de novos modos de viver para estas sociedades indígenas. Estes novos modos de viver em condição de reserva, se confronta com a organização socioterritorial destas sociedades em seus territórios tradicionalmente ocupados, implicando no compartilhamento territorial entre famílias extensas distintas, ou seja, na sobreposição de Tekoha e, no caso da Reserva Indígena de Dourados, criada em 1917, envolve também, o compartilhamento étnico com outras sociedades indígenas envolvendo os Guarani, Kaiowa e Terena. Neste sentido, buscamos compreender os implicamentos e tensionamentos na reserva, assim como, os territórios, identidades e fronteiras que estão sendo construídas e negociadas no espaço-tempo de encontro e desencontro destas sociedades na reserva por meio das narrativas indígenas e da observação participante.

Territories, borders and identities between the Guarani, Kaiowa and Terena in the Aboriginal Reserve of Dourados/MS 

 

 

 

Abstract

The eight created aboriginal reserves for the Guarani and Kaiowa for the Service of Protection to Índio (SPI) in the region of the South Cone, in the old one been of Mato Grosso, today, Mato Grosso of the South, implied in the imposition in new ways of living for these aboriginal societies. These new ways of living in reserve condition, if collate with the socioterritorial organization of these societies in its traditionally busy territories, implying in the territorial sharing between distinct extensive families, that is, in the overlapping of Tekoha and, in the case of the Aboriginal Reserve of Dourados, created Reserve in 1917, it also involves, the ethnic sharing with other aboriginal societies involving the Guarani, Kaiowa and Terena. In this direction, we search to understand the implicamentos and tensionamentos in the reserve, as well as, the territories, identities and borders that are being constructed and negotiated in the space-time of meeting and failure in meeting of these societies in the reserve by means of the aboriginal narratives and of the participant comment.
