Resumo

 

Esse artigo busca investigar alguns dos principais desafios econômicos, políticos e diplomáticos enfrentados pelo Brasil e seus vizinhos no processo de integração da América do Sul neste início do século XXI. Portanto, faz-se uma análise dos desafios à diplomacia brasileira a partir de uma visão nacional também brasileira postos por Argentina, Colômbia e Venezuela. Assim, disputas, ressentimentos e interesses nacionais são revelados como obstáculos para o Brasil liderar a integração regional via UNASUL – União das Nações Sul-Americanas

Abstract

This article seeks to investigate some of the main economic, political and diplomatic challenges faced by Brazil and its neighboring countries in South American Integration process in the early XXI century. Therefore, it elaborates an analysis of challenges to Brazilian diplomacy from a Brazilian national perspective posed by Argentina, Colombia and Venezuela. Thus, disputes, resentments and national interests are revealed as obstacles Brazil will have to face in leading regional integration through UNASUL – Union of South American Nations.
