Coincido con Mario, la expedición tuvo un gran éxito y felicito a todos los HK. Hicieron una gran labor y pusieron el nombre de la RA colombiana en alto. Vistos los esfuerzos y los trabajos para lograr sacar a Malpelo al aire no quedaba sino respaldar con comunicados sus esfuerzos. Los 4 fantásticos lo hicieron muy bien! Salieron a flote muchos RA que generalmente no participan de los DX y eso también es encomiable, ojalá no se pierda el entusiasmo. Congratulaciones y abrazos, Por todos y cada uno de los miembros de la expedición. Pero también fue maravilloso ver el entusiasmo y dedicación de un número grande de radioaficionados colombianos por contactar y respaldar HK0NA. Soy un radioaficionado muy activo y podría decir sin equivocarme, que esta expedición levanto un sentimiento patrio muy grande y una actividad en radio bien notoria. MUCHAS, muchas gracias a todos los integrantes del Equipo de HK0NA por el gran esfuerzo y la excelente buena voluntad puesta para que los Radioaficionados del mundo, pudieran tener el placer de poder contactar con la "ENTIDAD" del DXCC "ISLA DE MALPELO", y tener la oportunidad de obtener una QSL de las más difíciles del
Mundo.
Sabemos el gran esfuerzo que tuvieron que hacer física, mental y emocionalmente, dejando a sus familias y otras actividades.
COLOMBIA, los Radioaficionados Colombianos estamos felices por haber sido tan bien representados por todo el Grupo de Radioaficionados presentes en la DXpedition HK0NA. Ellos son:

También hay que resaltar la labor de los primeros Radioaficionados que desde el día 25 de diciembre viajaron a la Isla de Malpelo con la mayor parte de los equipos de comunicaciones y todos los accesorios para proceder a instalar los campamentos, estaciones, antenas, mesas etc. de tal forma que cuando llegara el resto del Grupo, encontraran todo listo y comenzaran a operar HK0NA. Tuvieron que pasar y festejar ellos solos la llegada del nuevo año 2012. Son ellos HK1MW Bolmar, HK1N Jaime, HK1T Salim, y HK6F Faber. Gracias a ustedes a quienes el mundo conoció como "LOS CUATRO FANTÁSTICOS".
Pero tengo que resaltar a HK1R Jorge, Lider de la expedición. Sin su ánimo, entusiasmo, luchas, viajes, contactos, diplomacia, amabilidad, esta DXpedition: "MALPELO 2012" "HK0NA" no se hubiera podido realizar. Como se dice "Fue el", el que llevó "LA CARTA A GARCIA".
MALPELO VIVE EN NUESTROS CORAZONES.

Final report from "the rock"Today at noon local time the last three stations went QRT. 3/4 of the camp was dismantled around them as they continued to work the pileups. Amazing that there are still pileups after 190,000 ++ QSOs.
Assuming a safe transition to the Seawolf of all equiment and team members, this one is definitely for the record books! Thanks to all for their kind comments both on the air and via our pilots. This is a gratifyng accomplishment of this Internatioal team. The Colombian and American organizers have worked very well together.
Special thanks go to the Fabulous Four (HK1N, HK1T, HK1MW and HK6F) for spending six weeks on Malpelo to make sure we were ready to begin operations almost immediately upon our arrival. Also a very specal thanks to the "iron men" at OP A who survived brutal conditons of heat, lack of food and water and as well as a dangerous climb just to get to the camp. They are HK1R, DJ9ZB, PP5XX, LU9ESD. HK1T anf HK1X, as well as a few visitors during the daytime.
We shall have two nights in Bogota seeing the sights and a specal reception with Government officials and then most team members return home on the 10th.
We are tired, but extremely happy with the results. We hope you, our audience so to speak, are also! For the team,
