of DX out there and I see a lot of cluster spots for 6 meters too.
Here’s
one you want to listen for… MACQUARIE – VK0KEV.
Kevin has been reported on
SSB & Digital on 40 & 20 in the 0430-0700Z and 1000-1100Z time
slots. I understand that he is working on a 5 band vertical antenna
too. Kevin also announced his QSL Manager will be JE1LET, DIRECT
only.

Klaus had to cancel his trip for now but has
announced new dates for February 22-March 23, 2011.
For anyone interested
in low frequency propagation, Tom, LA4LN tells me that LA1ASK/B Experimental
Beacon is running on 509 kHz.
It is located at the
site of the old medium wave Bergen Broadcasting Station, QTH locator JP20OK, on
the Askoy Island near Bergen, southwestern coast of
Norway.
LA1ASK/B is transmitting with an output power of 5
watts telegraphy A1A. The antenna is currently a 15 meters tall vertical, using
the extensive ground system at the old medium wave broadcast station. There is a
possibility that there will be tried other antennas.
The
beacon trustee is LA7CFA Oystein Ask. Please send reports to

Lots of announced operations for the CW end of the CQWW
Contest Nov 27-28. Many of those will be up and running for at least a few
days before/after the contest so we’ll have a lot going on that
week.
