3DA0, SWAZILAND. Mike, K9NW, will participate in the CQ
World Wide DX CW Contest (November 26-27th) as 3DA0NW and as a

5T, MAURITANIA
(NEWS/ACTIVITY). Jean, ON8RA/5T0JL, who is a resident in Nouakchott since

The operators are Nicolas/5T5SN (CW+SSB+EME+VHF), Bernard/5T5BN (SSB only but
actually inactive), and himself 5T0JL (99% CW on all bands except 160m; not
enough room for a long antenna, and planning to get on PSK soon). Jean states
that he is planning an IOTA DXpedition to the Island of Banc d'Arguin
(AF-050); now a World Protected Wildlife Reserve, so it's not so easy to get
permission, but he still hopes to activate this one (some day). Jean's good
friend Hugo, ON6ID, has left Belgium via a 4x4 mobile and has arrived in
Mauritania. Hugo is currently signing as 5T0ID/M. He is expected to be active
on all HF bands; however, his current activity is mainly on 20/15 meters
SSB.

(as well for the WARC bands using a matching box). He will try to do
something on RTTY too, but his main operations will be on CW and SSB. QSL via
