Congress of Geography

Nowadays (August
16-20) the 30th International Congress of
Geography is being at Glasgow, Scotland, United Kingdom, organized
by the IGU(International Geographical Union).
On Wednesday
18th was created the Latinoamerican Red presented by Dr.
José Luis Palacio Prieto (Vicepresident of IGU - México). The Comission
integrated by members from México, Brasil, Uruguay, Canada and
Australia, named Coordinator to Lic. Ana María Liberali (Humboldt
Centre - Argentina).
During Seúl Meeting (2000) was
decided that the 31st Congress would be in Tunez (2008).
Today is deciding the place for
the 32nd International Congress of IGU (2012). The candidates
are Chile, China and Germany.
Dra. Mac Gregor, from Geography Institute of
National University of México (UNAM), will be Laureat d'Honoeur of
IGU.
