The Universidad Veracruzana, through the Centro de Investigaciones Tropicales (CITRO), invite you to attend the 1st International Congress on Successful Cases in Sustainable Development in the Tropics. The Congress will be held May 2-4, 2005, at Xalapa, Veracruz, Mexico.

The cases can be nominated in one of these themes:
* Water management and conservation   * Sustainable Agricultural Development * Conservation and Forest management * Sustainable management alternatives for natural protected areas * Use of alternative energy sources * Controlling pollution in the environment * Sustainable urban development * Ecotourism * Cultural and local sustainable development in indigenous communities
**Deadline for abstract submission is : January 15, 2005**
