Gender and DevelopmentThis new area of graduate study is offered under the umbrella of the
Women's Studies
Unit of the Ahfad University for Women. Only 15 selected
women are accepted into the program each year.
Courses offered include: theoretical and conceptual bases for
gender and women's studies; theories of development; methods of research;
gender, culture and social change; gender and the economy; women and the state;
project planning and management; and gender challenges in the 21st century.
Students must also complete and defend a master's thesis.
