BERNE UNIVERSITY

PhD - EDUCATION LEADERSHIP & POLICY

This degree program meets the needs of those who are in various fields of public
and private education who desire to study, learn, research, and report on current
and emerging trends in educational leadership and educational policy. The program
provides an opportunity for various school leaders (superintendents, assistant
superintendents, curriculum directors, teachers, technology directors, special
education coordinators/directors) to do their doctoral work in their specialty
areas.

All Students take 63 semester hours of course work (summer residency, primary
courses, and specialization courses). A traditional Doctoral Dissertation is
required for this degree. The six residency courses (18 credits) listed below are
required foundational courses for all students. Doctoral students have the option
of doing one four week summer residency , or 2 two week residency modules.
