Brief
Story
The Faculty of Social and
Political Sciences was established on January 1, 1969, after eleven years
serving as a department in the Faculty of Law. Now the Faculty caters four
departments. Its commitment to excellence ensures both public and private
institutions to have a continuous collaboration with the
Faculty.
Mission
The Faculty has been dedicated to performing its
basic mission, that is, to enhance human potential for scientific and
technological progress either for national development or socio-cultural
settings. The Faculty also intends to produce professional graduates who,
with high social sensitivity and intellectual curiosity, are capable of
managing the rising demands and challenges of the society
Departements and Study
Programs
The Faculty has four departments: the Department of
Politics, the Department of Communication, the Department of Public
Administration and the Department of Business Administration. Recently the
Faculty has introduced cross-entry and extension study programs as well as
three-year diploma course in Public Relation.
The Department of Politics focuses on the development of
expertise in political and governmental issues, the Department of
Communication in social, organizational and business communication, the
Department of Public Administration in managing public enterprises and
policy, while the Department of Business Administration in managing public
and private corporation
