1. Objectives

 

The programme aims at providing students with a sound knowledge of Politics at both regional and international level.

 

It is designed to sharpen the critical outlook and to promote analytical skills in the study of political behaviour, political institutions, international and regional politics.

 

It is expected that graduates in the discipline would pursue their career in regional and international organisations, central and local government, para-statal bodies, management, legal and financial services, public relations, journalism and the media.

6. Assessment

 

All modules will carry 100 marks and will be assessed as follows (unless otherwise specified):

               

Written examination of 2-hour or 3-hour duration as specified and continuous assessment carrying a range of 10% to 30% of total marks except for a programme where the structure makes for other specific provision(s).  Continuous assessment may be based on assignments but should include at least 1 class test.
