Salim Ali School of Ecology And Environmental sciences

The School came into existence on July 1, 1987 and is offering Ph.D. and M.Sc., P.G.Diploma in Bio-diversity Assessment and in Applied Ecology Programmes. Thrust Areas : Bio-diversity and Conservation of Natural Eco systems, Pollution and Toxicology, Agro-Eco system and Land use planning, Wetland Ecology, Mathematical Modelling, Human Ecology and Environmental Health, Field and Laboratory techniques and Remote sensing and GIS. Eligibility Criteria Ph.D. (Full-time) Programme Candidates possessing Master's degree in Ecology, Environmental Sciences or any related branch of Sciences or Technology ar eligible to apply. M.Sc.  Ecology and Environmental Sciences Candidates with a bachelor's degree in any discipline (i.e., Science, Arts, Humanities, Technology etc.)  are eligible to apply. Students are expected to have working knowledge of Mathematics and Science subjects at Higher Secondary Level.     The courses are offered in two streams. One in Ecology and the other in Ecology and Environmental Science. Candidates who so desire may choose additional courses and specialise in Environmental Sciences also. Such candidates will receive their degree with specialisation in Environmental Sciences. Post Graduate Diploma in Bio-diversity Assessment  (Duration : One year Full time) Candidates with a Master Degree in Science or M.Tech degree from a recognised university are eligible to apply. Post Graduate Diploma in Applied Ecology  (Duration : One year Full time) Candidates with a Master Degree in Science or M.Tech degree from a recognised university are eligible to apply.
