Can you ask around
your network what staff are using regarding screening for
mental health problems
in children and adolescents with learning
disabilitie? I am looking for
mainstream screening tools and also any tools
that been developed for young
people with learning disabilites. This
includes screening tools and diagnositic
instruments that psychiatrists,
psychologists, nurses, other staff, parents and
teachers emplpoy, as well as
self-rating scales, in both learning disabilitiy and
CAMH's services.
I am trying to identify the different tools that are avialable
and also
where possible to get copies of these
instruments.

Forensic Services
Please reply to:
Philip.Mchugh@colchester-pct.nhs.uk I
currently work in a low secure service in Essex for people with LD and
MH needs.
We are looking to develop the service into a more forensic
service as appose to
treatment and assessment.
Is anyone out there working in forensic services if
so, can you give me
a run down of what skills, courses, qualifications your teams
have, and
what kind of service you offer? This is mainly applied to nursing
but
information around other health professionals would be valuable
too.
